Your looking for an entire gaming script coded from the ground up without any use of pre-existing games (reselling?) 5 months minimum, price would be what ever you paid the programmer AND the graphics designer. You will need both as I have never seen a programmer who can design good graphics. Rough estimate on time. 1 week planning, figuring out what features you would want in the game. 1 week database planning and design and development. 2 weeks for the user login system including user management (register, login, database, forgot password, profile design, updating profile etc). 1 week general layout design (which will be updated once more near completion) 3 months programming. I'm guessing programming would require: leveling fighting stats items communication (forums, chat, online emailig/messaging) security and bug fixes etc I started a game myself with another friend and put in about 4 months before I moved onto other projects, my suggestion would be to just find a pre-existing package and have a programmer update it to suit your needs. I know many of the existing BIG rpg roundbased games have full time staff always adding features. I guess it really depends on what your looking to do with the project once its done.
