Hello, Do keyword domains get a decent advantage for ranking in the top 10 since the site name is exactly the same as the keyword? I just found a domain that wasn't registered suprisingly and would like to know how hard it would be to rank for "rapidshare downloads" if I am using the domain rapidshare-downloads.com Thanks for any advice/info
I think it is beneficial for such domain names to get rankings. There are other domain name which rank as well but having keyword domains might make it a bit easier to rank as domain name is considered as an important factor by google.
It likely isn't the keyword rich domain that is giving this perceived boost directly. It is the fact that having a keyword rich domain makes it much more likely that you have relevant keywords in all link anchor text. If Google really automatically favored keyword rich domain names, that would be all you would see in every top 10. Really it is just a minor factor compared to things such as backlinks.
you get good ranking . according to new google anlorithum its getting top ranking if you have keywords in the domain name
Personally, I've had no success when using ''-'s'' in between words and yet great success when it was just straight up the keyword.
