How much does your CTR vary from day to day?

How consistent is your CTR. I would imagine if your traffic is pretty low, the figure will flactuate more, but what about for people who consistently get above 1000 page impressions a day.

Depends on your site. Most of my sites getting large amounts of traffic tend to do so because they have the most information or they're forums. When your content is better, you'll have more visitors... but with better content your visitors will be focused more on the content than on your ads.

CTR can be anything between 0.09% to 40% ;p

Combined, less than 10% during the last year, although that is with a lot more than 1000 page impressions. Individual channels can vary a lot more.

It's not just traffic, it is the size of the site. The smaller the site, the larger the potential variation.

As an example, It's before 1 am, my site has pages showing anywhere from 0% to 300% ctr on the stats. And no, I'm not going to freak out on the 300% ctr.

So this really means that my page impressions are low right now, and the total ctr when the day is done will be somewhere in between. (very much on the lower side of the % I mentioned) And it will settle out very constantly each day at the same rate.

So if you have 1k page impressions, we can't really help pinpoint any issues. Your ctr is very specific to your ad placement, and topic ppc. There are too many variables.

It's like asking a stranger on the street how much they make in wages. Some are skilled like a doctor or lawyer, some are not. You are not doing something wrong if your skill is "making cupcakes" but you are making low wages too. The price is different for a cupcake vs a medical diagnosis. It all depends on the topic and what the going rate is for the skill

    Does that make sense?

ctr= "click through rate". So in other words, if I have a ctr of 20% (i don't have this ctr, you cannot disclose per adsence terms of service) for each 10 page views, you get 2 clicks.

My CTR varies from day to day as per the traffic I get. For some pages the CTR is really good.. and for some pages it is low. And I have noticed that high CTR are for those pages where the content is there and my visitors are interested in that content.

So if you want to increase your CTR, have good content for your visitors. Though I know all these theoretical lessons but practically I am also struggling to get /write those so called good content :)

Mine is very inconsistent. One day I'm encouraged. Next day I'm feeling crushed. But my site is small, my traffic is low, so that's the reason I guess.

On Index pages I can get 7% on pure content pages sometimes 2% or less.
