How much does Yahoo Directory listing count in Yahoo Search Ranking/Positions?

    Hello,

    In the past it was obvious that if you wanted to get listed on Yahoo's top page, you had to buy a listing in Yahoo's Directory.

    I wonder how this is today. Any of you tried? What is your experience?

    If I obtain a link in the Yahoo Directory, will this propel my site high in their search results?

    So getting traffic to your site from Yahoo is useless? Not for me. I'm glad to get traffic from Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc.

    How can someone say "traffic from Yahoo is useless". We're happy to get any traffic from anywhere. And traffic from Yahoo is one of the best I know.

    Ranking lower on Google is worse than ranking in the top 10 on Yahoo, for instance...

    One could still manage many thousands of visits per day from Yahoo Search.

    My question was: will the Yahoo Directory listing push a site to rank higher in Yahoo Search?
