Im sure this has been asked many times and answered many times, but i had trouble finding it in search. How much does traffic have to do with PR? Say i had 0 backlinks. But i was getting 100 000 visitors a day from Serps? Interesting question i think.
Hmm very interesting. And rather shows that the PR system may be redundant in a way. E.G Text links on a Pr9 site getting 100 uniques a day are more expensive than a PR1 site with 10000000 uniques a day.
Would you classify traffic or link profile as more important? Even though they both inevitably lead to each other. ?
targeted traffic is most important because this inevitably leads to increased conversions/sales, etc.
Traffic has no connection on your PR. High traffic doesn't mean high PR. You can get PR based on your backlinks.
As stated PR is based on back links. However, if when building back links, you place only related niche links, it can build both your traffic and your PR. The important thing is to get traffic as your first goal. If you are getting a lot of traffic and you have a good way to monetize your site, ignore PR. However, if you are planning to sell links to monetize your site, you need to also work on building your PR.
more traffic doesnt have anything to do with backlinks but i suppose if you want mroe backlinks then more traffic would not be a terrible idea, people might go to your site and link it to one of theirs so i dont think it would hurt just maybe not help
traffic is related to ranking in serp means if your site appears in top 10 postion for a keyword then more visitors will visit site that means high traffic. page ranks does not matter for getting traffic. so your main concerned should be on ranking not on page rank.
I think pagerank gave me an extra boost in the serp, as when I was PR0 had less traffic from google. Now my site PR4, it is ranking better in serp.
No it won't. Only backlinks will increase your pagerank. Nothing else. But there are around 200 factors that effect serps, and pagerank is one of them One hopes that getting a higher pagerank will increase traffic, but it doesn't always work like that. You have to be targeting a keyword that people are searching for, to start with. And a lower pagerank can take precedence over a higher pagerank in serps if there are other factors in the lower pagerank site's advantage, such as age of domain.
The only way traffic can increase your page rank is when people who visit your site decided to blog about it or provide a linkback on their website. If you cater to visitors who do not have websites or blogs then you can millions of visitors a day but very little backlinks and thus low PR.
I have seen that and am sure that PR and SERP's are not too closely related. Well of course higher PR does help you to get to top of SERP's in a shorter interval of time.
Traffic is not determined based on the PR. You can have a very good traffic with zero PR site and a PR 10 page may be having a zero traffic. If you are in the link sales business, concentrate on PR and if you have monetized your site like adsense etc..., then think about improving traffic. That's all
