Does the number of clicks per impressions effect your CPC?

Yes, I am feeling it now and it HURTS. I bid on the keyword "ebay" without thinking which gave me very bad click rate for the number of impressions. I hate learning things the hard way.

With all due respect, too many people are jumping into adwords without really knowing what they are doing and it's killing them in the long run.

Would you go parachuting without learning how to use one first? ;)

I already have most things down about Adsense but wasn't aware of the whole performance thing.

The reason I was bidding on "ebay" was because my product is related to wholesale. However, most people that were clicking were just curious and not targeted which made those visitors useless.

How do you re-vitalize your campaign after you've been Google slapped? I just started a new campaign but it seems that my last campaign is affecting the CPC. Everything that I did have for $.15 a click is now up to a dollar!

you can revitalize by bidding on keywords that are relevant to your product.

the word eBay does not belong with wholesale. You cannot randomly bid on a keyword hoping someone will be looking for what you are selling. Think of the person doing the search, put yourself in their mindset. If I search for eBay what am I looking for? Im looking for ebay.com, not some wholesale list.

I completely understand why google is slapping you and wanting you to bid $1 - $10 per click, I would slap you too if you tried to sell me a wholesale list, when Im looking for something completely different. If I search for coffee, I want coffee...

So, think about why people would search for your product, don't just try to get in front of every person on the internet and try to sell them your product. Get targeted and relevant. That is the secret to adwords...

Oh man! Google is a REAL pest. I tried changing my domain name for my new campaign and their system automatically detected my website was the same as the last one. My only option is to create a completely new landing page with a different domain.
