How much does it have to be to be duplicate?

I'm copying some stuff from one of my sites, and I'm wondering how much I have to change. Will one sentence that is the same on both sites count as duplicate content?

Also, lots of the descriptions on my site are based on the same steps, so if there is like 1 or 2 senteces that are the same on every page on my site, does that count as duplicate content?

It all depends, 1 or 2 sentences out of 1000 sentences looks different than 1 or 2 sentences out of 3 sentences.

Maybe add some more different content to the sites?

Ok now you can see what I'm talking about because I am pretty much finished with the site. Look at http://www.halo-2-glitches.com and you will see that almost every superjumping guide says at the end something like - make sure you aren't pressing any buttons or holding forward when you land.

So since that is on almost every page, is it duplicate content?

I don't think it would give you a penalty (it's not major) but it you absolutely wanted to make sure, you could vary it a bit,
"make sure you arent pushing any buttons, or pressing forward when you land"
"be absolutely sure you are not pressing any buttons ot holding forward when you land"

    etc.
