There are ads that are high paying like from pharmacy and real estate, and some hard niche. Make an interesting and very informative contents to attract visitors who will click your ads. Also google some ad placement tips.

There are alot of variables here , the niche on the website , the ads that are displain , the country of the visitator that clicks your ad, etc. Games niche is the worst , i get about 0.01-0.02 for click.

If you have a celebrity blog then you are more likely to get 5 cent clicks.

if you have a finance blog you are most likely to get 40 USD per 500 visitors. So it all depends on the topic of your blog.

think of Strategically place your ads, Don't have to many ads on a page, Get your website more traffic

There are more ways than just SEO to get your website more traffic. For example; you can purchase traffic through available online services, you can participate in traffic exchange programs, and you can sign up in a banner exchange program. SEO is the most effective, but when you are starting out you should take traffic from anywhere you can get it.

Depends on each ad, niche, where the clicker is from and there are probably more factors.
Average in all maybe is 0.25 a click. I'm having like 0.75 now though ;-)
