I have a edu site(subdomain from my school's site). It hasn't got pagerank. I wonder if i sell links how much should i ask for?
Dumaniac, PM me the link and I can appraise it for you, no charge! Make sure to reference this thread when you do.
it's a marketing gimic. They are worth the same as a .com, other than the fact that 90% of the time the main university has a super high pagerank, so people tend to think it will rub off on their page. A pr0 .edu with 0 links to it is 90% the same as a pr0 .com with 0 links to it.
Its not really like it, but if you build up a site to rank on a .edu domain name. Then you will be ranking better then other websites, but if you are trying to get backlinks and think that they will solve the problem for getting good backlinks, then I dont think that will work. Surely, getting a PR6 page backlink, or other will help in rankings for particular keyword, since google gives more trust to .edu sites(for sure) But still, it depends...on all the cases.
Yes, edu and gov links are important alleast in the eyes of google as these sites generally dont trade links.
