I heard before people say the owner of dp, is a millionaire. But how much can this forum actually make. Just curious. Its probably one of the biggest forum in the world.
yep i bet something like w3bmaster said .. there's no way it would be earning a million .. specially with the ad revenue sharing feature
15k a month is not much at all. Considering the maintenance of mods it needs. And a large decidcated server and probably 24hr maintenace on that too.
Ya... But there are thousands and thousands of people trying to make forums and most fail. DP is one of the ones that has the most success ever. Look at it , there's basically 2000 users on the forum on all times 24/7. And it only makes 15k a month? That basically to me means, forums ain't worth the risk considering the risk/work/payout ratio. I would expect dp to earn more than that, it probably spends a few thousand to run this site per month so the profit ain't that large really.
Not anything is made for the money Shawn has olso other businesses so this was made as a hobby and with a pasion A hobby making 15k that's the great part
Discussed so many times here at DP but only shawn can give proper answer for this 15k to 20k/month IMO
Agree with you, DP is growing all the time, I guess 25k a month by the end of the year! Forums are VERY hard to make money off with AdSense!
Well, I would of just expected more than 15k for one of the biggest forum on the Internet. I know how hard it is to make money with adsense on forums. Conversion rate is like 0.001%
Yes, it's true. Making money & getting click thru, especially from webmasters is very difficult to get.
