How much does Digital Point Make???

Here's a question for all you Web Sages: How much in ad revenue would you guess a site like Digital Point earns a day, a week, a month?

I understand that it would be impossible to know exactly. But it would be fun to speculate, to wonder...to dream!

What about other popular sites?

What data are you basing your assumptions on?

I would say a good reasonable amount to keep the business running. Money is derived from ads and from premium closed-user groups / treads in these forums.

 

I would speculate around $500,000/year at least in revenue.

DigitalPoint is the 251st biggest site in the world, and every visitor is displayed with an Adsense ad. You calculate that, even if 1% of the DigitalPoint traffic clicked an ad.. they'd be earning $90k+ a month but it's obvious forums convert the most (5%-40% avg) so it's beyond our speculations.

DP also does revenue sharing, so people earn a cut out of that, so it could be towards the millions in terms of revenue but profit.. hmm $100k/year?

Not even close. I assume you used Alexa to obtain this information, but that's completely inaccurate.

DP is probably in the top 5000 in terms of traffic, but definitely not top 500.

 

I agree, last I checked it was around #2500

 

They don't make that much.
