How much does a logo cost?

there are logos and logos: logos of $15 and logos of $ 2.000.
Me and my team work in designing for at least €99, but for 100% custom job and with the concept inside, we sell also logos for €500.... the logo must be ingenious, simple and effective! It depend on what the client ask and what he is looking for, i see many designers accept logo for 15-20 $... for that price we don't open illustrator...some of our logos

 

i would say 15$ - 25$ is a so so logo design, if you want to get a good one, you should probably pay around 80$-100$

 

Agreed. I'm sort of blown away that anyone would think a real logo would cost as little as $5. You need to do it properly or not at all. You should be paying a minimum of around 150 for three to four concepts, created totally from scratch. Don't fall into a hack cycle. If you use clipart, or your designer uses clipart, nothing screams mickey mouse more than that. If you want to be taken seriously, you need to have a designer that researches, asks questions and incorporates YOUR BUSINESS ideas into the design.

It depends on how experience on the Logo designer. Sometimes you can get a very cheap price at ebay too

It is also depended on concept and condition of your clients. Normally, basic logo in my country is around 100 USD.

 

The logo costs as much as the client is ready to pay for it. No more, no less. For example, very well known logo, like Coca-cola, was made for token money by an student, then they just improved slightly the typography (and for sure they paid for it much more, then for their logo design ).

The brand value has nothing in common with the value of logo itself. The professional advertisement agencies sell not logos, they sell marketing strategies, so their work costs a lot of money. The professional designers and design studios sell their qualification, so their time and they work cost enough. The little design studios and junior designers can't take for their work too much they are like mass production, because they sell cheap and fast decisions. And every one has their client and every one is happy with what they do .

So if in this forum the clients pay 15-25 USD for logo, there is nothing bad or strange.

Really, no. Many world known companies have a low-quality design of their logos, but their marketing strategies and communication with the buyer is great. So a bad logo doesn't affect to sales. By the way, at the times when they created these logos, there were another design standards, and their logos weren't bad. But now some grand companies they are afraid to change the design of their logos, because they may lose some brand values and recognizability of their logos. For example it's very difficult to do such evolution of the logo like Johnnie Walker did:

yea i think the price of logos have gone down. When i created logos sometime in 2002, they were going for atleast $100 depending on the client in which you were servicing.

 

I'm creating them for about $20 each. And it depends what you want. If you want it just web based it's $20 and if it's for a real company that wants flyers and such the prices will raise to like $100 and even higher since everything needs to be created in Illustrator then.

 

Less than a few hundred pounds will get you a stock-logo only, or worse.

 

Well logo cost completely depends on your designing skills, what are the clients requirement and how much you are able to deliver and rest of the factor.

Seriously, I don't see why someone would pay $30 for a logo... take the Ebay logo for example. It's just the word Ebay with colored letters. Anybody could design that.
