    Hello fellow DP members,

I have started this thread to discuss how much do various content writers and content writing teams earn.

Make sure that you only include your income from online sources like forums, freelance exchanges and the like.

Don't mention your turnover, mention the exact profit which you enjoy after paying off all your expenses (for example fees of fellow writers in case of a team).

    SLABS(Per month)

    $1-250
    $250-500
    $500-1000
    $1000-2500
    $2500-10000
    >$10000

This poll will help us learn as to how practical it is to consider content writing as a profession, especially as a team and whether it can really be taken up full time or not. :p

    Warm Regards

    Aakshey

I am not a team but I am approaching the $10k mark with my business. So I voted $2500-10000 :)

Where do you get your clients? How do you manage to charge an average of $20-50 per 500 words??? :S

I do not actively hunt for clients, I have to many already. They find me.
    Ways the find me:

    - Through this board, I get PM's for jobs all the time
    - Linkedin where my profile is well viewed :)
    - Recommendations from my existing clients
    - My website (proseowriting.com)

And every once in a while I write a SEO article that kicks down the big boys on Google. I usually get contacted after that :D

Like Kraven, I am not a team but exceed $10,000 per month - 90% of that is copywriting and ghostwriting, the other 10% is dedicated SEO and website design.

I wonder what you mean by a Team Writer? A team manager can be a non-writer. Team earnings are not interesting since team members varies, you may be looking them for earning/member.

And, why do you want to know how much others make?

    Is that why?

I do hope you are not this dumb.

Getting answers on a board, of all places, is not very reliable anyway. Too many try to be a hot shot, and they go looking for attention ("Hey, look at me!"), when in fact they don't make enough to pay their electric bill. This board, and especially Warrior Forum is filled with 'em.

It takes A LOT of time and sources to go to to make even $500 a week.

    How much do I make?

Like any other, LEGITIMATE, professional writer will tell you...it's none of your business.

Do a search on keywords pertaining to that question to get a ballpark figure.

    Good luck with it.

To make that kind of money I work approximately 40 to 50 hours a week(Yes I do work weekends, but that is by choice)

Which can be either a good thing or a bad thing. Are you receiving the pay that comes with it or are you working that much because its the only way to earn a living?
