You can use adsense and adtoll(try the link on my signature) for your blog. I can't give you any estimates on how much you will make, it depends on your traffic. But the site has potential. You can mix the ads creatively along with the contents to increase the CTR.
Putting monetization on wordpress.com hosted blogs is against there terms of service. You will get booted.
