I am new amazon affliate. never sold something. It seems without protmotion, it is impossible to sell something. Is it possible live on organic traffic? does anyone could share how much do you spend to promote your affiliate site? thanks.
Yup.. I have a site that makes affiliate commissions in the mid-$xxxx on all natural traffic... all Yahoo!/MSN since it is 9 months old. Google snubs it. Either way, with AdSense or Affiliate Marketing-- you need traffic. Organic, natural SERPs are the best return since they are free, but it takes time. PPC has more risk when you pay for each visitor if you don't know what products will sell.
I pay zero dollars to promote all my sites. Just optimize your site and gain search engine traffic, its free!
I spend an hour at least every couple of days updating my blog to keep my traffic flowing. I still only get around twenty to thirty visitors and I have no way of knowing if it is the same people. I have sold very little Amazon, no Cafe Press, never sold my Lulu online book, and my google ads dont bring in that much. It is a hobby still for me and I sell weird stuff to college kids with little money... SERPs? off to go check that out thanks... Chris Titan
SERP Last modified: Wednesday, March 03, 2004 Short for search engine results page, the Web page that a search engine returns with the results of its search. The major search engines typically display three kinds of listings on their SERPs. Listings that have been indexed by the search engine’s spider, listings that have been indexed into the search engine’s directory by a human, and listings that are paid to be listed by the search engine.
