My total is around £150 year, thats across three different hosting companies, 2 US and 1 UK based, its amazingly cheap when i think about it, imagine if i had to rent a shop or an industrial unit to work from, would cost me so much more and then theres the overheads that would come with that.

Hosting = quite bloody nice actually :)

My hosting cost is over $120 per year.

and I do not trust lifetime hosting companies. paying monthly is the best way.

Mines about $65 a year. But unlimited hosting for a lifetime? Something about that sounds way too good to be true haha

£728 + VAT (£855) per month for a sweet dedicated box with hardware Firewall at Rackspace in London.

That's about $1,300 at the current exchange rate.

Once you'd had the level of service and support you get from Rackspace there's no going back, yes they are expensive but I wouldn't host with anyone else now.
