How much do you pay for clicks?

How much do you pay for clicks on average? What is your spend cap per day? Where does your traffic usually come from?

I am new to affiliate marketing, but I find it difficult that anyone could ever pay more than 70 cents per click for US traffic to an affiliate product that would pay like $20-$30 commission, I just don't see how you could make money. And I don't use generic keywords either, I use very specific exact key phrases, but to get any kind of exposure I need to bid close to $1.00. With a conversion rate of 1%, 100 clicks would cost you $70 on adwords, so how could you ever make money?

Some people are getting clicks at 1 to 5 cents, but what kind of traffic is this? I can only manage to get clicks like this if I get traffic from the middle east, india and pakistan, but those just NEVER CONVERT!

If anyone could help me out I would really appreciate it. :(

    Hmpfft.

    1. Read the forums for everything 'adwords' related for a couple of hours.

    2. find the 5 biggest adwords (ppc) blogs on the internet. read every single blog post (even if they are 1 year old).

    3. then be prepared to lose 200-500$ to make the campaign profitable

    4. profit $$$

    stop
    using
    adwords
    and clickbank.

Please guys, do some math. Pay $0.50-$0.70 PER CLICK on 95% of Clickbank products which pay BELOW $30 commission. Take average CTR (click through rate) and conversion rate into account...average conversion for clickbank and Adwords is anywhere from 60-80 clicks/purchase. This is NOT a made up number but a very often observed average by some BIG clickbank vendors/affiliates. If someone tells you they have a product which converts 1:30 or similar...its an outright LIE or an extreme example with someone having an outstanding, convincing super-converting site.

If you think that $0.70/click and a $30 payout works...go ahead. IT WONT. Do the math. Check your adwords account and see how on many of the existing lsnding pages you get 60-70 clicks for a purchase.

60x $0.60 is already MORE than what most CB products pay out. (Refunds not even taken into account). And you want to make PROFIT - you dont want to lose money, nor do you want to make even. You want to make profit <---

( Furthermore, i can tell you that in all that "best selling" categories on clickbank, the high gravity products, MOST (if not all) keywords will be in that range. The only chance you might have doing PPC/clickbank is that you actually promote a very NEW product with still very low competition/bids..then you can maybe try promoting this for a week or two and TRY to make a little money if you're lucky)
