From my two blogs I make around $100/month. It's not much, but it's enough to invest back into webmastering and domaining which is fine for me.
It can totally vary. It also depends on what your blog is about and how you promote it. I promote Wealthy Affiliate with my blog, and I am slowly working at getting more and more frequent commissions. The longer I work it, the bigger it will get since the commissions are residual. If you've got a blog that actually makes money, then the longer you promote it, your traffic slowly grows and your income slowly grows along with it. I don't think there's any hard and fast rule of how much money can be made with blogs. I would recommend setting up your blog with a topic in mind that could be a good money maker. If you want to stick with a topic that you're passionate about, then that's cool, but you might not make as much money. My sister keeps having this issue. She wants to make website about stuff she's passionate about... really obscure stuff... and she'd like to make money with it by posting some amazon links and such. But it doesn't work that way. You've got to go where the money is.
I think it's a great niche. Although that's kind of a broad area to be called a "niche". But nevertheless, a good area that people definitely spend money in. It's a competitive area, but that doesn't mean you can't make money in it. It just means that you won't dominate the niche. For example, I'm the same way. I promote Wealthy Affiliate, and it's a very competitive niche. I'll never dominate the niche because there are so many people promoting it. But, I promote it and make money with it anyway.
I just started my blog, hopefully it will turn some cash soon! I think the key in blogging if you want to make some good money is to make more blogs, niche blogs, if you get too many that you cant keep up, sell of the ones you dont feel like managing anymore. I have not done it, but I plan on trying
I just tried to add online deals on my blog, I will be curious to see if it generates and sales. Should be interesting, I will let you guys know.
I have about a group network of blogs that simultaneously earn about 1500 a month. The network that I have consists of 10 blogs in different niches.

A few dollars a day atleast but i get most of my blog income by donations from people that use my software.
few thousands dollar a month is no problem, you need good UV and also good contents to get clicks from users.
