I think that many DP members here do make good money online and probably offline, but just wondering: How much of your income do you give away? To charity? or just to help another person out?
The government take enough taxes as it it, let them pay the charities with there ' Billions '. I do donate every now and then though, not a lot.
donate now and then hate it when they impose a minumum amount of dollars in order to donate. I much prefer to donate what I have in my pocket
I'm just curious because I think those who give tend to live happier and are wealthy... just an assumption.
Humm, when I write a review post i give the first post income to Habitat every other day. It is not much but I have been lucky to get as much as 30 for a review post. It really is something that I believe in.. if you give than you will get it back sooner or later.
Honestly ! I dont spent a single peny.. I like to help needful people, but dont got time to go out for it. Dilpreet
Of course those who give tend to live happier and wealthy, you just answered your own question, they live that way cause they are wealthy
I agree! I do give to my church a lot and never felt bad or hesitant to give it away. It all seem to come back later and I feel great doing it anyway
Beleive me giving money away doesnt mean it comes back, if money comes to you it was coming anyway, there aint no special force out there looking out for you saying ' ok thats 3 years now since sean gave £25 to charity ' lets treat him to something special But yes nothing wrong with feeling special that you did it, its good too if you can afford it. PS churches have more money than anyone.
I don't go out of my way but if some-one asks I usually give what ever I have in change, but to tell you the truth those charity's that have my number must have a message next to my name (this person is easy) lol
I do, but only for certain causes... supporting our troops with morale boosters like creme savers = good cause * donating money to a church group so they can protest in front of an abortion clinic = bad cause * * = my opinion
Sometimes but for now, my income is enough for me to live by myself. I can't help others, I need to help myself first.
I give some, but only if it's needed. I will keep enough for me to live a nice life at the least. Theres some things I wouldn't give money to: I won't give money to a homeless person, they would just spend it on drink or something, i'd rather take them somewhere and buy them food. I wouldn't give my bank details to anyone, even if it's someone from oxfam or some other charity on the street asking. What happened to the jar where I put my loose change? Theres some others but I think i've said enough.
Money is exspensive these days, you know that the $1 bill is like 50 quarters? Everything priced so high
I give quite a bit to charities.... Probably 12-15% of my total income. (And then I get some of it back on my taxes. ) But I also give a lot of my time to charities. I love to do volunteer work too.
