how much do you focus on design

when working on adsense templates/sites how much time do you spend on the design? when i say design, i don't mean the template layout (where the ad units will be) but how fancy the site looks.

seems a little bit hard to understand....... what do you mean "fancy looks"?

 

what I mean is how much do you care about the logo, colors, how fancy/cool the site looks.

Or do you simply don't care about the design and just care about the layout and the positioning of the ad units?

 

i try to focus on the design aspects my site to the best of my ability.

i love nice designs aslong as their still functional of course.

Find templates you like and use them.

You have to choose your strengths and allocate your time.

Your site has to look legitimate and you have to build trust. Beyond that fancy doesn't matter.

I like to keep the designs to a minimum and really focus on the Ads, I think this is important to keep ctr high.

 

fancy design usually means poor conversion. you dont want people to look at your design and say WAOO! what a nice design....you want them to click on your ads or buy your product. it is best to keep your design as simple as possible and make your ads more prominent. when a visitor comes to your site, you want their entire focus on your ads and not on designs
