We have gone so far offtopic form the morning ..I dunno where we are at. but a poll would be a good idea though. Cool we have one.
I'll second that It was really good and helped up my income about 40%. Today is going to be my first $500 day! UPS club, here I come! Vickie
A google search for "Joel Crom" returns three listings; none of which have anything to do with AdSense. Not exactly a confidence builder.
I did want to say something about his ebook. I can see how this would be looked down upon by the die hard SEOers out that who have time to learn by visiting the great message boards out there. A LOT of the info is very common sense, with out a doubt, and information that you could find elsewhere but for those of us out there who just don't have the time to spend as much time as needed in the forums, his ebook was concise and provided great ideas on how to make Adsense work on your site. I am no newbie to SEO but I did get quite a few ideas ( several of them were "well DUH, that makes sense" ideas ) that has greatly improved my daily Adsense income. If you are fairly certian about what you are doing with Adsense and visit Webmaster forums, like this one, on a regular basis, you will most likely be disappointed. If you are the occassional visitor to boards like this one and don't have the time to do everything you want to in order to build your knowledge, it may be worth your while.
i think i've optimized my adsense pages pretty well.: ads are close to content, use ads that blend in, no borders, try to place ads on the upper-left. does the ebook descibed above suggest much more than i summarized? (i would not mind buying it if i had a reasonable assurance that it contains stuff i don't know)
Forums are awesome for adsense. I am building 2 more as we speak. Good adsense ads seem to create themselves
i've had terrible success with adsense on webmaster forums. higher traffic would help some but i would not expect a decent CTR from webmaster forums still
I guess if you can get visitors. I have like less than 10 people on my boards at www.mygeekyplace.com
I find the complete opposite, un-related ads, low CPC low CTR. However I realised that my users weren't clicking my ads so I made the ads show to visitors only with the text "If you were a member this ad would not be displayed" On another forum I own, I only show ads to guests or members with less than 15posts - That way, I get more registrations and more posts! Although the results are still not great. If you have found a way to get some great results from adsense on forums, care to share?
posted by FTEgal Amen to that. Does anyone here buy links? I've been submitting to directories for 4 weeks now, and only have about 600 links. (None showing in Google, drat!). I'm starting to think I'll never get the links unless I buy some - any advice?
You would be disappointed with the ebook. I was when I bought it. It's a shame because I believe the author does himself an injustice by not plumping the ebook out better with some juicier information. It's 57 pages long, including indices and double-double spaced to make it stretch out that far. By the sounds of things, you've pretty much covered the main areas. I don't think there is much else in it.
