    i have a new directory, and it is just pr1. it is making some 100+$'s a month, and am waiting for it to hit some high pr, perhaps pr4-5 will do good. then it will bring some big money!:D

    lol..If i earn 200$ from directory i invest 500$ back immediately ;) Right now i am investing too much money in it :) but will see results soon after pr update ;)

    Its a hard market to break into, I think affiliate programs are a good method as outlined by aviva.

    I have not tried to monetise my two directories as they have low PR--2 and 3.

    Just earned around $100 since 2nd week of Jan.

    Better work hard than guess how much profitable your dir can be.

    I have two directories www.directorymix.com and www.nplinks.com currently around $500 a month from both, looking to go a bit further with dirmix and maybe earn that alone with it.

    I had a directory once, but it did not perform well. Though I did get some nice revenue before the domain/ hosting expired.

    Average was about $120-150/month, but I had a peak at ~$160 :(

    I guess it's a shoot and miss niche.

    I think it would be more useful to know how much profit people make, I make some $$'s but spend more on promotion so mine would be a negative amount.
