I am going to start my own blog but now I am curious if it is profitable. So I wonder how much do you earn from your blogs?
It depends on the niche, on the type of monetization of your site. So from $0 to billion and zillion of dollars
Ah sorry but I won't share any real numbers, but let's say that marketing adult sites can bring you a profit of few hundreds ($) per month - easily!
Blogs are useless unless they are autoblogs. 100 blog view will get a click that will give 0.3$ and i won't put my efforts to get 100 views for that 0.3$. I wonder how people earn from their blogs.
Not really. I never had an autoblog and I still make a living out of them Target non competitive keywords, build a blog and promote something what sells, for example affiliate products, link share products, paysite memberships
I have earned through my blogs, if not huge but still reasonable. NO not with slow motion adsense But it does help
As for me I am a beginner and just starting to learn about SEO. I know I will get to that point I will just sit and see my earnings going up each day but for now I earn $0 and I am open for any suggestions or tips on how to earn as a beginner.
You can't just say "earnings from blog" because it all depends on niche, how much traffic, what geographic area you are targeting and so on. I would say that anything above $0.01 per unique visitor is a good return, almost regardless of what area, niche and geo you go after.
Blogs are definitely not useless. If you can monetize your blog properly and have a good understanding of what your visitors are looking for then you can make lots of money. One of my old blogs had about 500 visitors per day and I was making over $500 per month from these visitors becaue they were very interactive with my website and they liked the advertisements I had on the website so many of my visitors were purchasing affiliate products from my website. I had another blog that was getting over 2000 unique visitors per day and for some reason I couldn't make this blog earn very much money from these visitors. I actually ended up selling the blog for $3000 so I still made money from this blog. Make sure you do lots of testing with your blog and trying different revenue streams. Also look at what your competitors are doing to make money and copy their success and do even better! Blogs can make you a lot of money if you research enough and put in the time and money to experiement with different marketing techniques.
My blog is not that popular so I didn't make much but if your blog have great content and your visitors love to return to your blog, recommend it to their friends maybe.. Getting hundreds of dollars each month is not a big problem.
If your blog is popular with high traffic of course, certainly many people will get interested to to post ad in it, by these means you can earn your blog from the payment of the advertisers.
I have only a few blogs from which I earn money by Adsense. But if I made 10 more of the same type of blogs, I would live pretty well from them. The reason for why I don't just make these blogs and live from them, is because it's simply to risky only to base your income on one type of income on the internet. Buy an example, Google could suddenly find it funny to ban my adsense account, or Google could decide to change their algorithms in a way I would dissapear in Google, so I would loose my earnings. My advice is to spread you earnings around on different income sources, and thereby spread your risks.
Very sound advice! Anyone who seriously plan to be long time on the net needs to diversify. Both for long term stability reasons but also for things like traffic management. You never know what's going to be hot or not, so you just have to do a little of everything. This will keep your income stable and leveled. I have four different areas of online business. 1. Membership to my own sites 2. Selling traffic to advertising companies such as adbrite and adsense 3. domain parking 4. affiliate marketing It goes a little up and down for each business area, but when one goes down a bit another goes up, so all in all I get a nice and stable income.
Affiliate marketing is best if your looking to making money online , just blogging alone wont get you much. I blog as a intrest even it does make very small income.
