How much do Joe the Plumber and Mary the Teacher spend on clothing? $150,000?

This clothing issue is pretty wierd? Anybody ever remember a political party spending money on its candidates to buy them clothes?

And the amount!!! Talk about a lot!!!! When you are making a big effort to appeal to Joe the Plumber and Joe Six-Pack, calling and advertising that the opposing candidate is an elitist and a star....its astonishing that a campaign would spend that much on clothes.

BTW....anyone know who was the highest paid consultant/advisor on the McCain campaign trail during the first half of October? :D

Check out the stylists that took care of Mrs Palin.

So when you are trying to appeal to Joe Six Pack and Joe the Plumber....just how much do they spend on clothing, apparel and personal grooming.

The department of labor runs surveys on consumer spending. They have been doing this for years. Lets check it out.

The average family in 2006 spent as follows:

So the average American family spent $1,874 and Mrs Palin's family was given $150,000 in new clothes basically over a weekend or two.

Somehow, I once again have a hard time believing how the GOP ticket is so tied to basic American values and practices.

What is really appalling is the amount of money Obama is spending to buy votes, brainwash, and push his radical liberal "spread the wealth" views. Obama agenda and out of control spending will lower the quality of life of most American except the elite class he palls around with. The only thing that will spare the United States from economic destruction will be if gas prices continue to fall to around pre-Katrina prices. God save the United States from Obama.

better than bush. much better than mccain. Since Mccain already sees what the result of bush's policies is, and still supports it. he is worse.

Most democrats support Bush and will do anything Bush wants. Obama spending even more trillion on top of what Bush has done will be much worse than the same. Obama is an idiot on the economy and is pushing a far left agenda that will change our country into government dependency
