How much do I pay for banner ads?

I am interested in starting a banner ad campaign but I'm not sure how much I should be paying for banners.

Does anyone have a method that I could use to see what I should be paying per site or click?

personally i usualy pay depending on alexa rank.

Global user visits this week (average):

0,0(ammount here)= $ im willing to pay weekly for advertising
ex i would pay 16$ weekly for a site who gets 0,016% of total internet visits daily.

oh, just checked my site, if I were to sell you my adspace with this method I would lose much more than Im getting now. Its totally useless(not very accurate), the Alexa numbers.

you can pay monthly or on CPM base. I prefer CPM base for larger sites, because you can geotarget and try it first with less money spent.

Btw, I am selling on CPM base, if you are interested let me know what kind of niche are you looking for.
