    Hello to all,

I am planning to buy a domain(cheapnames) and a webspace (servage).

Well I stay in hyderabad and I got my bro HSBC credit card.

What do guyz think whether should I pay directly (is it secure ) to them(servage and cheapnames) using my cc no or should I go thru the paypal account.

How much do i get charged by doing so in the above ways(paypal and direct pay). Please mention the correct rate(rs) and provide if there is any alternate way to do so.

Thank you, waiting for a quick reply.

    thx in advance

I suggest you go with namecheap and you can pay by your cc and yes with them you can safe because they have secure page when you submit your detail.

I suggest namecheap because they offering free whois guard and if you want more cheap price go to the Voucher forum on DP here, and found their promotional voucher code for free.

Paypal: highly probable you'll need to pay 0% extra on it; as the fees are to the seller (domain or hosting provider), and not the buyer. Of course, it is possible that the seller calculates that to their buyers, but you should be able to find that at their site.

If you pay directly through Credit Card, that's safe in the case of servage, as it is a reputable company. I'm unsure about cheapnames; if it is cheapnames.co.uk, I think they're OK too. For servage, there are no extra fees for paying directly through Credit Card. Again I'm unsure about CheapNames, but I'm 99% sure they don't charge extra for it too.

If you're talking about other methods of paying, you could think about MoneyBookers by example; but for that, paying via Credit Card has 1,9% fee (as far as my account is regarded - EU basic account). Though, you can add money to MoneyBookers by bank transfer too, and that's without extra fee.
You can pay to Servage via MoneyBookers. The chance is high that you won't be able to pay with MoneyBookers to cheapnames, though.

Extra note: if you buy an account for X months with servage, you get a free domain with it (free as long as you maintain your servage account!!), so no need to buy a domain (unless you want more than 1).
You can always consider going to another hosting or domain provider, but note that it is possible that other providers have different terms, of course.

    Hope this helps you.

*ps: not sure if you posted in the wrong forum. Doesn't this belong to "payment processing"?
