How much do forum links increase PR?

If you think that signature is useless then don't waste your time posting from here and there in order to show your sig

I'm not sure if forum links help with pr, but I do know that I get traffic from forums. I'd rather have human eyeballs looking at my website over pr any day.

 

I'm a little confused with do follow links and no follow links. What do these do and which is best to have for your website?
