    Hi All!!!

How much did you spend to get your FIRST site making you money?? ( or high uniques)

I say FIRST site -- because i mean without the help of other high PR sites you own. your FIRST site.

The methods you used (free or paied), for would be helpful.

I'm sure this will help alot of newbies such as myself see just how much they have to spend (or not spend), before they can start seeing some money in their accounts. (The category would also be helpful - CARS, GAMES, {Niche - wont say}, etc)

    Cheers guys!

    Regards.

I spent nothing because I had nothing :). Luckly my sites have become successful! I submited to a bunch or free directories and learned a lot here, but really I think I'm just lucky ;).

I just spent time - lots of it. And just as ViciousSummer summed it above: I did not spend anything coz I didn;t have anything. :)

There are lots of services promising traffic and exposure. Until you get some sites established to leverage, try free and organic growth.

Then you your existing sites to promote your new ones.

I spent about $13 for a domain name and went with free hosting at first, but now I am looking into a paid host since my bandwidth limit is relatively low.

I haven't made anything significant earnings yet, and my site has been up since July '05. It is a site relating to games.

I spent $95 for hosting and domain to get started. The real cost was the countless hours building and promoting the site :)

Nothing, i started with free hosting and my dad payed the domain name.
    It was webmastersdesk.com
In a few months it was already a pr 6 with over 300 uniques a day.

You don't have to spend alot to create a successful website. Having the resources and cash just speeds things along. Spending only a couple of hundred dollars should be more then sufficient if you do the leg work.

It cost $35/yr. to register a domain and you had to register for two years. I paid an extra $50 to have a service register it for me bacause it was so complicated :). FrontPage 3.0 cost $129 or so. Since AdSense wouldn't be invented for three years, the site just sat there costing me money. I did manage to apply to DMOZ and I answered questions on a couple of forums.

ha ha ha ha :D I can feel your pain.

I spent nearly US$ 500 to set up everything and give my first site a go. It was well worth spending ;)

Okay, where are all these people that make all this money on hosting the websites? Or are all these people ficticious for purposes of selling things like Adsense Tracker and Adsensescreator and all of that other software? Do you know? Where are these people that are REALLY making $8000 a month and $10,000 in their pajamas somewhere? I can't seem to find them.
