No problem and hopefully will hit the $1,000.00 mark this month.

Do research and you can find what people want and then make the content to give them.

You say your 2nd site is being penalised by Google. Aren't you seeing any traffic from Google for this site? If you are, how much of a reduction has there been i.e. the number of daily referrals before and after penalty.

Total traffic on that site is down from 13k unique visitors on an average weekday to 4k unique visitors on an average weekday.

I'm a wee bit miffed. My rant topic is Please be assured that your site is not currently banned or penalized by Google.

Will, the loss of traffic on that site might be part of the Big Daddy nonsense going on. A lot of people think Google is using old data for most searches right now - anywhere from last July to November. So if your site wasn't ranked as high before then it might be that.

They did something in early February that affected all my sites - all new and sandboxed, but they had been getting probably 500 Google searches a month combined from random little terms and lost 90% of that. I had a couple of bigger terms on one site, noncommercial terms it was letting me rank for, and since mid Feb. they have had the same exact rankings - falling from #1 to #6 on one and #3 to #7, the positions it had held in November or so. They've been at the exact same spot since, even though the co/op weight pointed at them has fluctuated pretty dramatically. So it might be a problem relating to them not updating their index while they were switching the infrastructure over.

I've mentioned most of my sites on DP already. I'm going to mention them less from now on. I want to motivate people to build their own sites, not to copy mine. The goal is to build a better Internet for everyone who browses the web -- not to build a thousand sites which are clones of each other!

Most of my visitors come from Google.

Buffett is a financial analyst, albeit a very successful one. That's a money making profession, but not one to look up to as a person who has really improved our world. Buffett has improved his own world. Similarly, Gates has done nothing (except accidentally) to improve our world. He has worked only to improve his own world. Next up: Milton Friedman. :)

Actually, the guy on your avatar looks very much like Buffett, except that it really isn't.

There are too many variables, such as how much promotion you do and how hard your competitors are working.

This is a business where patience and dedication pay off -- eventually.

It took me ten months to get to the $100/day mark. Your mileage may vary. :)

My first day of adsense I made like 5$ or so... I used to have a sign on my desk that read 298. That is the number to make 100k a year. I thought if I could just get that far then I would be master of the universe. Then after reaching that the number was incremented... and incremented...

Great times we are living in that its nice to be payed well for our hard work

Wow you must be pretty driven to have you first day at $5 but then back yourself to get $298. I personally would have aimed lower, or at least that what I'm doing currently - but it is great to hear that you have done so well out of adsense. Can I ask how it took for you to get to you goal?

As my first grade teacher used to say, the alligator swallows the larger number. "<" is called the less than sign and ">" is called the greater than sign. So, when speaking "> $100" in english, one would say "greater than $100." I'm guessing thats not the intended label for that option.

Yes I messed it up... it has already been pointed out, unfortunately I'm unable to change it - but I don't really think its that big a deal - people understand what is implied.

March was my best month with $350  . Now my goal is $500...

I still have problems with google who sends me around 20-30 visitors per day only.

    On step at the time.
