I was thinking something... In the end how can you be sure when you donate to any charity, that your money is going to go to the right people and not in hands of fraudsters?
Just make sure you donate to well know charities that are specifically helping Haiti. Habitat for humanity is one. You can donate to redcross but i think that just goes in one big pot to help everyone.
Yes i have donated and to a very good charity and both the charity and the amount that i have donated is personal to me.
The company I work for made a $100,000 donation and my Wife says her company made a $100k donation as well.

Well, my country was bombed for 75 days but all internet wasn't talking about that. or donating anything.
I donated $50 but also donated through my daughter's school and helped with the donation campaign in her school. Very sad situation in Haiti and my heart breaks for them. Unfortunately, I am not rich and have to pay my bills so $50 is what our family donated and gave $20 in the school campaign. I wish I could do more but I have to worry about my own family's finances first and still contribute to ongoing concerns here in my own country
