How much custom duties for digital camera in india?

    I want to by a canon digital slr camera in ebay.com worth 900$. Can anyone ple tell me how much custom duties i have to pay in India for importing this product?

    should be a couple of thousand Rs. for sure

    when I bought my zune on ebay worth $370 all the seller did was put the price of the item as $100 while shipping so the customs and duties were only Rs 521 :D

    maybe you ask your seller to do so :rolleyes:

    no idea then :|

    coz last year I bought my mobile from a site [not ebay] I was charged Rs 1550 as customs and duties :(

    All I know that all electrical good [atleast] are charged Customs and Duties, it depends on the price of the Item, I don't know how they calculate the custom duties tho :|
