A couple of weeks ago I bought the domain name theobamaforum.us and now I am thinking about selling it. I thought about just selling the name. But I also thought about setting up a forum using the free MYBB forum software. And then selling the site and the name together. A google search for "Obama Forum" brings back 69,300,000 results, with theobamaforum.com being #2. With a little promotion, I think theobamaforum.us should be able to rank pretty good.
For sure an excellent domain without "the" but, in this specific case, to give you an honest appraisal, only few $xx I'm afraid ... You can always convert it into a big live forum so its value would increase a lot.
