Hi, once i get to digg's first page, how much could i make? So either with my aff links , and maybe some cpm ads. Also , would adsense be ok with digg traffic? What do you guys think??
Thanks alot man so i thought of perhaps CPM ads. put a bunch load up . and maybe it could be my blog on how i got a free iphone from this freebie(referal site). with step by step instructions(completed 1 cpa offer and sent refered friends to do the same) . And maybe pictures etc. or set up a press release with how to get stuff from freebie sites?
I have to agree. Digg visitors aren't particularly good about clicking or buying, and the traffic is usually too general to be of any real value. Even with CPM ads you're probably not going to make as much as you'd hope. Digg is better for increasing the overall visibility of a site, not for making money.
You probably won't make anything because from your post it's pretty clear you don't understand that marketing isn't about you.
lol pwned!!! but i actually have someone who can get me there for a fee. so im wondering if its worth the money i would pay
Like it has been said, the social networking users like digg and reddit are typically familiar with google ads, etc -- thus do not click that much.
??? Okay lets run through a quick Scenario. You make Digg's front page and get 20,000 semi-targeted visitors. Your conversion rate on a product on that specific page is 1% (Extremely low) and the product pays $50 per sale. That gives you 200 sales or am I wrong? 200 times 50 is? $10,000 So you make $10,000 every time you make front page of digg and you are concerned about Adsense? This is a common misconsumption. Lets even take Adsense as an example. Lets say that you have 20,000 people coming to your site and seeing that "Digg traffic don't really click ads" we can calculate the CTR at 3%. That still gives you 600 clicks. I have been a power user for a long time now and Digg has never let me down. I have written an ebook that I will be selling for $59 on how to become a power user guaranteed! Pm me if your interested. Payment through Alertpay only
Then no traffic of yours convert. If you can't convert one, two, ten people out of 20,000 people then you have the conversion problem with your website. This is a fact that applies to all types of traffic.
When will you be posting your book in the BST section? By the way, hijacking someone else's thread to sell your stuff -- NOT COOL. quote: "I have been a power user for a long time now and Digg has never let me down. I have written an ebook that I will be selling for $59 on how to become a power user guaranteed! Pm me if your interested. Payment through Alertpay only"
If you get digg'd to the front page, you might experience excessive bandwidth usage and suspension You might not want to attempt this in the beginning if you're just trying to sell something. You'd be better off if you spent some time there building your reputation....
Put your ads like it is useful and different from other so people will digg your link and altimetly you got traffic from search engine and other media of digg.
You'd get around 50,000 uniques with a digg frontpage link but the CTR would be pretty bad. Most probably, the only thing you're going to get is a bandwidth issue
Well.. digg is fine for backlinks. But if you want to sell sth - you will not make it.. Diggers and overall people hanging on social networks do not click on adds... CPM is disappointing and anyone who tells you s/he had great success with selling stuff to diggers and that it depends on the niche... well I would say s/he is lying... Besides, even Digg has large problems with monetarization...
What you say is absolutely correct. Diggers are never rabid buyers. They are generally avid browsers and hence knows about ads and Products. A sale may happen once in a while, but it is better to market for targeted keywords using search engine marketing
