How much could I make from Adsense with this much traffic?

    Hi,

I have been running a fairly popular website for around a year now. It's popularity has grown a lot in the time I have had it. The focus of the site is an extreme sport. So far I have focused on getting companies to buy banner ads on the site on a monthly basis that pay 150-250 dollars a month. I make around 2500 dollars a month now which is good, but I feel that given my traffic I could do better, possibly by inserting a small amount of Adsense or something similar on the site ( I actually had an account banned on another website using Adsense so I'm going to have to either use another, similar service or sign up for Adsense through my girlfriend's name ). I am interested in putting a relatively small amount of Google ads on my website, but I'm open to other possibilities too. Thanks.

    Any advice would be appreciated:

First, use Google Analytics, awstat gives invalid and incorrect data sometimes. It would all depend on your CTR (Click Through Ratio) to deterime how much you could make. What is your niche, main keywords and CTR for your banners you sell?

I think you are better off with banner ads.
I don't think advertisers bid a lot of money on Extreme sports related KW. I may be wrong.

Best thing is to try and experiment. Although too many banner ads and google adsense on the same pages will make your site not very appealing to the visitors..!!

Why are you using webalizer to check your stats? Try google analytics and run the code for a few days, then report back to us with the new stats.

I would say, with 12k unique visitors a day, 5% CTR, and about $0.15 per click would bring you around $90 a day.

Not sure how much the extreme sport keyword pays, may be more, may be less.

    $90 a day = $2700 a month.

Here are my Analytics stats. Let me know if there's anything else more relevant that I could post in terms of a screen shot or whatever.

What are your keysearch terms and what is your site about? Because some search terms pay more than others

BMX bike riding. Almost all of my traffic comes from people who have the site bookmarked and check it daily.
