Recently I opened blog dedicated to games. And I think I am getting pretty good uniques ( 500 - 700 unique visits or even more per day ). Revenue isn't really good because I am not adsense expert and don't know how to promote really good the site. Also NO TRAFFIC HAS BEEN BOUGHT ANYWHERE! This are all game freaks that visit the site. So how much do you think I could get if I decided to sell it?
There are a million factors. The biggest for me would be the source of the traffic and the amount of time spent daily on the site.
Well I got: 26% is US Traffic 24% is UK Traffic 5% is Canada Traffic 4% is Australia rest is mostly west europe traffic I spend on site 15-20 minutes daily. Traffic mostly comes from some forums/wikipedia/other blogs...
Hi, Are you thinking of selling your site? Do not do that. If you are getting 500 to 700 uniques, this is a good volume of traffic to monetize. Look for good affiliate programs like BigFish etc to sell game downloads. Just google "game downloads affiliate program"
Have you give Adsense a try? If most of your traffic are coming from search engines, then you can expect a good revenue If not, try to promote some products through some affiliate programs.
Even having a lot of traffic you have to operate with propely. Do you use Adsense? Do you sell spots on your sites for banners? It's paid with good money. You have to work out an advertising strategy. Cause it's silly having plenty of content and not getting money for this?
You spend 15-20 minutes daily? I spend hours on my forum and we're only just getting 40 UVs a day. Can you post your url up? There could be suggestions about placement of your adsense.
You may be getting plenty of hits, but how long are the visitors staying? Do they have a reason to continue to come back? If you are getting so many hits, then you should make some money with ad-sense, affiliates, etc. and then try to sell it. At that point you'll have other reports to support your site.
I have tried adsense but I am not happy with it because i get few cents per click. I have today tried some affiliete programs and we will see how it goes.
