Hi, How much content do I need in order to be approved by the most directorys? Do I need a dull blown site, or do you also accept mini-sites with 1-5 pages ?
mini-sites with 1-5 pages I dont like especially if they have a lot of links and google ads, as long as you have unique content, and a well formatted layout then I would accept.
You need to have a site with good content and not an MFA site Most Directories have submittal guidelines on the site
I know that directory owners are looking for big , quality sites with superb layout, preferably with no adsense ads on it. But that's not the question. I remember having a site submitted to 50 directorys with only 1 approval . But it was butt ugly with big ads on it. More opinions?
if its a site, that explains how to make silly putty, then I will ban, assuming you mean mini sites like that
think the most important thing is your site must be able to convince directories that it is a serious site, made with effort and with potential for growth and sustainance. There must be some minimum amount of content at least to demonstrate the above points. But i think there is no definite answer like min of 5 pages, etc. Just ask yourself this question, 'does this site look like it offers quality content to visitors and will continue to grow?' my 2 cents.....
As a directory owner, I look for original content, well designed pages, and few to no ads. If there is a lot of white space between the content where a Adsense or Yahoo ad would just fit, it doesn't get in. I made a specific category with subs for my directory where "Adsense Content" sites can get added. Unfortunately, most people who submit those don't use it. Too bad.
Most of the small sites I see are doorway pages funneling traffic to other sites, duplicated content (like ebooks), or sites with more ads than content. However, once in a while a simple "Mom & Pop" site shows up that is advertising a small business and just don't have the resources for a huge site --- those I accept.
