I'm wanting to buy myself an iPhone, but trying to get it as cheap as possibly (obviously). In the UK, only 1 phone company can distribute the iPhone (O2), but it is possible to get it unlocked...like any other phone, I suppose. It costs like £350 ($650ish) to buy (rather than 'lease' - ie, not on a contract) and I worked out that this would be the cheapest way to purchase through O2. I've looked at apparently "cheap" dropshippers from places like China, US, and their prices all seem to be $800ish - How much is the iPhone in the US?! It cant honestly be around the $800 mark that these sites are suggesting can it? That'd make it much more expensive than over here!
In the US if you buy through at&t with a contract its $199 with taxes. Without a contract they go on Ebay for $500-$700. I'm selling mine for $650.
If you would be happy with a used one, I would try Craigslist or Ebay. I picked up a 1g iPhone 8gig for my GF for $100 from someone on Craiglist who was ready to upgrade.
In America you can buy a brand new iphone in the store for $200....I don't understand why they are so high every where else.
new or used though, cessvergara? soulzz...(!) yer, that's what i was afraid of/ trying to avoid. obviously india isn't as cheap as US either!
