I am thinking about starting a fan website about a computer game, the game is really good and will be launched in early 2008. Will it be worth it ? Any tips on making it a success ? :)

I know it depends on a lot of factors but can someone give me a approximate of how much will the site earn per 100 views/click/month ?

From what I read and experience you may not earn much if you use Adsense unless you get a ton of visitors and use other advertising methods along with Adsense or without Adsense. Also when you launch it, you may want to submit it to Digg, but submit it in a non-spammy way, such as write a good article about the game, and submit that article to Digg.

If fansites of Neopets.com can make $1,000- then I don't see why a fan site of a computer game can make at least some money a month.

Yes, it won't be anything special, and likely will die within a few years, but profit can and still be had with these types of websites.

I say go for it, and get a lot of return traffic with forums and images, updates, modifications, etc.
