I have a PR7 blog with 1600 odd backlinks, and an Alexa 3 month rank of 70K. I get about 6000 unique visitors a day. How much do you think I can sell a text link ad for? The text link ad will be on the sidebar, and I'm thinking of selling a total of 10 links. Different link price estimator tools give me different price estimates, even upto $285(which I thought was horribly inflated). I joined text-link-ads.com but have not sold a link to date, though they list a price for it, so I am thinking the price might not be right. I am also thinking that maybe I might have better luck selling the links directly, avoiding the 50% charge at TLA, and reducing the price a little since even with a reduced price, I could make more than what I can at TLA. I am new to all this link selling business, and I have no clue how to figure out the price I should ask, and like I said all the online estimators seem even more clueless than me So, hivemind, please advice. Thanks a million.
$285 doesn't sound that inflated, but maybe $150/month is more reasonable...not really sure. yeah depends on the niche. Maybe you could try $400 for 3 months or something?
If you send me the URL I can see what my link price estimator tells me (or you can do it yourself, the link to the tool is in my sig). BTW, what is your niche?
I really don't want to list the link on a public forum, so I sent a bunch of PMs to those who asked to see the url before arriving at a price. The general subject matter is technology/computing. picouli your tool tells me the value is $100 to $117 depending of if the other site is on the same topic. Now how can I take this info and make some dough? Also, how do I know this is correct?
Yeah. Since I pretty much don't have any ads going on now, I'm thinking of making it a round $100 a month and taking this to the link sales forum. Do you think $100 is good for making a sale or two?
