How much can blog-links affect your placement

    Does anybody have some "cool clear and present" :D stats on how their blog over time affected their main website so and so much in SERPS.

    Please, by all means take a moment to brag... just give us some factual statements please.. ;)

    To determine the effect of linking from one blog, seperate from all other factors you would need to do some kind of control experiment.

    Negative Factors
    1 blog is just one site, regardless of how many links are directoed from it towards a site.

    Positive Factors
    That one site is free to host and easy to update.
