Pretty simple site, just links to files I upload to rapidshare

How much bandwidth would I be in need of?

I guess you would need a dedicated server for that.

Thank you for your response. From what you've seen, whats the monthly charge for that?

It's an adult site, any suggestions where i should go?

I know i cant use godaddy but this is what i've found

    • Pentium® 4, 3.0GHz Processor
    • 2x120 GB disk drive
    • 500 GB bandwidth
    • 2 GB RAM
    • Windows: 2003 Web Edition
    • Plesk 30-domain control panel

    for 160 a month

seems a bit steep for a site consisting of only text :(

How much bandwidth you need depends roughly on: a) how many visitors you expect to have in a given day. b) the size of your entire site.
Say for instance your entire site is about 10MB, and you expect maybe 100 visitors a day, you could possibly use up close to 1GB bandwidth per day (that's assuming most of those visitors download every piece of content on your site). I could be wrong on that formula, but that's what I usually go by when finding a hosting plan.

50GB should handle a site full of links fine.

I'd do 100GB to be safe though. :)

Most shared packages would be able to host you with 99%+ uptime.
