    Hey rochow.

    In theory. If you were pushing 10mbps of constant data 24x7 for 30 days.... You will have pushed 3.24Tbs of data.

    Keep in mind that when they say "unmetered" they're lying. If you use up too much bandwidth and it clogs up their server (if you're on a shared server, that is) they will cut you off at the knees without warning.

    It's a dedicated. I know there is no such thing as unmetered or unlimited, that's why I asked!

    I couldn't afford to get an unmetered server, then run out of bandwidth and have my sites down

    yes this true for only download or upload bandwidth. datacenets always calculate both upload and dowload bandwidth togather. so if you are getting true symentric 10 Mbps then enjoy 3.24x2 6.48TB :)

    there IS true unmetered bandwidth. there isn't true unlimited.

    any good providor will be able to push your full 10mbps. but there are other problems.

    unmetered servers are almost never burstable. so say 10% of the time you hit the 10mbps cap, your site slows down. you're not using your full 10mbps, not by a long shot, but if you want to keep your speeds up you need to upgrade.

    I'm always quite edgy about going for an unmetered limited plan. Although they restrict your bandwidth, if you just get the fastest speed but with an actual bandwidth limit then you're customers/visitors will be happier and it doesn't cost too much. Unless you ow youtube.com
