    Hi everyone,

To get a PR 5 for your website, how much back links you needed roughly? Will 55 back links from a single PR 6 website will do it for you? What are your thoughts about it?

55 links from 55 pages on different websites, all of them of PR6, will surely push it to the PR5 (perhaps even PR6). But single website... No, not.

To get higher PR you need to gain more quality backlinks. PR is not about quantity but quality links.

    Most probably not....

It is difficult to give an exact number...as it will also depend on the number of outgoing links on the pages that are linking to you.

Well, you ppl will not believe it probably, I am also shocked, that one of my website become PR 5 directly from PR 0. Domain was registered in the end of January 2007, site is totally new. And it has only 55 back link from a single website.

I have done no SEO or such thing. But it has a PR 5 :D, on the other hand one of my site with 4K back link is still PR 4. Amazing to me :D

along with quality links you also need patience... 55 PR 6 links are good but you need to wait for at least 2 months.

try to get more quality links...

and ofcourse links from pages with high page rank really helps. and remmeber if the site that linked to you is sharing links with other sites too, then the vote will be shared among all the sites thats is linked to the particular site. So be careful about selecting link providers...

    Hope this was useful..

    hello.
backlinks depends upon competitors.it ia difficult to say how much backlinks are required for your website.sometimes our competitors has 100000 baclinks but they didn't have authoritive sites, there is no useof this website.
sometimes ,if competitors site has only 100 backlinks but it is meaningful and have authority ,they aur more useful than previous site

I guess quality and relavant links will do. Can't say exactly how many. My guess is that more won't hurt.

It all depends on the quality and relevance of the links plus other factors too. You could probably do it with 1 good PR7 link or 3 good PR6 links.

I believe a good mixture of links is necessary too - free directories, business related directories, article directories, forum posts and blogging, and some link exchange will not just increase the PR but more importantly bring you to the top of Google.

Most needed ingredient for all of this - patience.

Quality and relevant links are what matters. Links from higher PRs help to boast your PR, but focus on creating quality content that'll get your visitors to link back, so you don't have to worry about building links yourself.
