Most of the time my balance ranges from $350 to 500, but it is not uncommon to have over $1,000 in the account.

I don't know what all of this nonsense about being banned is. No processor turns away income producing customers without a reason. I've been using paypal for over a decade and have never had a single problem with them.

Moneybookers, on the other hand, is one I had nothing but problems with. They are the biggest joke of a processor I have ever encountered.

I keep min of 1k and max of 5k, i really dont like it one bit but i have to. Paypal cost me about 10k just a few months ago due to reasons they couldnt justify.

Whoever thinks if you dont do anything wrong nothing can happen to you, well think again.

Well thats the problem, isn't it? people don't believe it when it happens to others and can't stop bitching once it happens to them. People have created full websites for this and a simple search on google for "paypal account freezed" reveals lots and lots of cases. Again, i am not saying its all paypal's fault but most of the time they do seem to be guilty.

I like to keep $100-200 in my account. That way money is there if I want to buy something. But, I have had bad experiences with paypal. I transfered 1400 to my account from the bank to buy a set of wheels and tires. Later that night my account was limited for suspicious activity. The money was stuck in paypal for 180 days. Then I was able to withdraw it back to my bank. Other people have said that doing large transactions on the weekend can be considered suspicious activity by paypal.

Yes, I'm aware of the site. I use to read there years ago. I always felt it was kind of funny. About 20% of the people I saw posting were only there because they were trying to pimp their own amateur processing site (all of which are now out of business).

About 60% of the people I saw posting had their account closed because they were using it in a wreckless manner that caused more trouble than they were worth. Any processor or bank would have taken the same action against them. I know I would have.

Then there was about 20% of people that I had no idea what their problem was. They would moan and complain, but I never did see them cite a reason why their account was closed.

I've seen these complaints, hundreds of them, but I never still never once seen anyone who had an account closed that was an innocent party. Maybe you would be the first, but this is not the thread for that discussion.

Well, if you choose not to see their fault no one can convince you otherwise, the posts by sweetfunny, ahuddy show the typical pattern of paypal complaints. I don't give a damn if they choose to close my account (thats the reason why i keep my balance to minimal) but i am sure you do care a lot about your paypal account, so i wish you good luck.

Well, I don't make much so mine hasn't even been over $500, but I don't have a problem leaving money in there, although I prefer to have it in my bank.

The worst thing about my case was a payment sent to me was deemed "suspicious" by PayPal. It was in the $x,xxx range, which was definitely not unusual for either account and both had a long history and no problems.

So, both accounts got limited and all relevant documents were faxed which resulted in a 10 day setback for an urgent payment for a server. PayPal were "phoned" by both parties when the accounts were unlimited, and we were told everything was fixed and yes indeed it was ok to re-send the money that was returned. We did as they instructed, lo and behold both accounts limited again 10 hours after being unlimited and funds frozen.

What resulted was another 37 (yes 37) transactions flagged as suspicious and put on hold, PayPal sending funds back to people they should not and vice versa. Even payments to Godaddy for domain registrations were flagged and returned. It resulted in a server housing 60 E-commerce site go down and rankings lost, other accounts of mine frozen, domains won at auction lost, negative Ebay feedback etc.

PayPals reply, wow i'm lost and i can't even wrap my head around this or how it happened.
