How much are you willing to pay for a DP sig?

Are you looking for a DP user to carry your anchor link in their signature? How many posts are you looking from this user? Do you want to pay for their already post count? Or how many they can do over the next 30 days? Do you think you should pay $25+ per 100 posts per month?

My thought is why do many users here at DP are willing to pay less than $20 for those who post more than 10+ posts here a day? Or those who already 1000+ posts. I have seen many who sell their sig links and post between 4 posts a day and 10+ for far below what many who seek out Paid Posting services and pay an average fee of $26+ for such a service. Yet many times you can find here at DP of people asking if it is worth it to pay so much money to rent a DP users sig. Many replies are yes and reply why. Yet many users frown upon hiring Paid Posting Services.

So why are so many willing to pay for a price of $26 on average for a service they frown upon versus paying for a reasonable amount for a signature rental here at DP?

Many are willing to say that DP is not into hiring paid posting services. True. But DP allows its users to sell their DP sig links. And many buyers are looking for an average post from the DP user/seller. So why pay a service so much money, yet not for sig links at a high ranking/indexed forum? In fact many users profile have a PR attached vs a brand new forum. So a buyer gets many benefit of buying DP sig. A possible user profile of a PR2 or higher. A forum that is a PR 6/8. A well indexed and popular forum, with such a high amount of traffic versus a brand new forum, not well trafficketed forum, with no PR or less PR than DP.

One can do a search for DP sig sales in the links sales in the B/S/T section to see what an average user sells their sig links for. And what the buyer is willing to pay. You may also search in the content creation section for paid posting services.

Considering that many Paid Posting services charge this much for 100 posts. If you add the package price of all 12, divide by 12, you will get an average of $26.

Paid Posting services charge for 100 posts
    Inb0x - $22.99 - .229 per post
    Boardboosting - $20 - .20 per post
    Adhocpost - $30 - .30 per post
    Forum Advantage - $25 - .25 per post
    Creative Posting - $34.95 - .349 per post
    100 posts - $24.50 - .245 per post
    Advantage Posting - $25 - .25 per post
Forum Angels (approx. $25) - .25 per post
    Forum Booster - $22.99 - .229 per post
    Forum Fairy - $26 - .26 per post
Post On My Forum $35 - .35 per post
    Forum Elves - $25 - .25 per post

    So what are your thoughts?

And yes I have garnered $15 - $20+ for my DP sig links sales at certain times.

The market price at which I have noticed the Signatures being traded is about $ 1 per 100 posts per Signature per month. I donot understand your figure of $20. Is it per year and for how many posts?

No its generally per month. And many DP users who have 1000+ posts understand its suppose to be $1 per 100. But I have been finding many who will sell for less. Or many buyers disregard their post count. And want to know how many posts they can make a day. IE like 10+ posts. So they are willing to pay for 300(assuming its 10 posts times 30 days) for as much as $20.

Instead of saying ok. So this user has 2000 posts. That will be $20. They say ok if you are posting 4 posts a day for 30 days, that would be like 120 x .10 = $12 or 100 x .15 is $18.

Which brings to mind or my point. Is that the buyer is asking far below market price.

I may not post 20+ times a day but I like to think that each of my posts is important and relevant to the topic. Paid posting is fine for making a forum look active but in my experience most of these posts are of minimum length and fair to poor quality. Just because someone decides to leave a post that is less than 10 words doesn't mean it will be good for generating and continuing on a conversation. I believe that the more passionate and interested a person is in a discussion the better their post is.

Nowhere in your examples was the word quality mentioned and I think that is just as important as the frequency of posting.

There was a post about this recently with a poll on what sig links were worth. I think the majority said $10 per 1000 posts.
