How much are targeted opt-in emails worth per newsletter

    Hi

    I have a big hip hop music project (see signature) and I wanted to know how much an opt-in email newsletter would be worth.

    Let's say per 1000 targeted opt-in emails for one newsletter send.

    I hope my question is understandable ;)

    So, are you looking into buying an opt in? I'd suggest building your own opt in list instead of buying one.
    if it's for advertising...well, it depends on the responsiveness of the list and how "targetted" it is...generally, it's work as much as the owner and the buyer think it's worth..It also depends on how many total newsletters are sent out in a month. Normally, a targetted responsive list owner can expect $1-$2 per month per subscriber so you'll have to consider that before proposing to buy an advertisement in the newsletter.

    I am the one with the opt-in emails who wants to sell the newsletter ;)

    The list is very targeted (a hip hop clothing label wants to send newsletters to my hip hop folks ;)) and we will most likely allow only one newsletter per month.
    They want to buy the list for one year and they normaly send out their newsletter once every 1 to 2 month.

    So what do you think would be the estimate worth for a one year sell?

    Honestly, nowhere near as much as you want it to be.

    For a one time blast to a targeted list like yours you might be looking at best $20/CPM (on the high side) so $20 a month minus the discount for buying a year in advance would be my humble opinion.

    This is not a CPM deal because they don't send out pure sales letters.
    And so far I have no expectations of a price what so ever so I can't be disappointed.

    I just want an orientation price what we could ask for when we sell the list.

    How we do this:
    We have integrated the "sign up for the XYZ Newsletter" (set to yes as standard) on registration.
    Already registered users can sign up for the newsletter in their control panel.

    So what could we ask for one year newsletter per 1000 Emails?

    A rough estimate would suffice.

    I also know that it totally depends on how much they are willing to pay.

    So any suggestions?
