by putting links in edu or org gives your site a boost of crawler rate and it also create an relationship with search engines
so put ur link in it without wasting any time

I don't think you should invest much into it. It's not a high page ranking site.. I wouldn't invest anything to be honest on a site with little recognition, no matter the domain name.

    that is a myth.

It has nothing to do with the .tld, it has to do with the content and reliability of the url. Top level domain extensions have no inherent weight one way or the other.

I think you can post certain articles,it is quickly indexed before other sites you get some PR soon,so value of the domain is increased

Don't gamble, (you only get it for a year) so if it does take off the price will go up. If you want a good link talk to smartalex4's She is devoted to the subject

I think it would be fairer to say that Google has a love relationship with websites that are, unique, high quality, high relevance, but not their domain extension.

I'm sure .edu links is more worthy than normal links but it shouldn't be taken fast, build naturally to get good result.

.edu domains just tend to have lots of backlinks pointing to them, so do .gov domains . It's because they offer lots of important information interesting to many. So I don't think that's a specific bias on helhalf of the search engines.

If it's a university, school or research institute that can count on lots of backlinks in the future, I think he should go for it.

I think a 'true' EDU link can be really valuable. In the US for example, an organisation has to satisfy certain criteria to register an EDU domain, whereas in Poland anyone can get one so they cary much less weight

You mean in Poland anyone can start a University. Is this where all the fake degrees come from?

Is it a true .edu domain or something like: mysite.edu.info or the like. I got a lot of spam emails lately offering me edu or gov domains that were nothing else then a subdomain called edu on another tld, SY
