My sites are actually blogs but disguised to look like sites. Although I could operate them as separate sites, duplication is easiest when done in word press format.
If 6 = $20 ,Then 45=$150. Dude 45 sites earning $6o is too slow and small,It is not worth the keep.Except if they are just there, not requiring any maintenance or so.
45 sites earning 60 each or $60 total? If its $60 total then that's like less than $1.5 a month for each blog...that's crappy
It's total. Crappy, you may say- and I would agree with you, but nevertheless profitable. When I duplicate this on 5,000 domains I will be earning a profit of $37,900/year if my future sites follow the trends of my example sites- keep in mind that these sites would still require no maintence which means that the $37,900 is essentially 'free'.
They're worth $600 maximum in buyers' eyes. In sellers' eyes it's worth $300 maximum. I'd sell them for 15$ per website or a little bit more -- variates from how big they are
That's a shame; it costs me $900 to build 45 minisites earning $720/year then a cost of $360.90 every year thereafter (renewals). So I really don't see PURE profit until the 3rd year.
I highly disagree with this philosophy; to evaluate a website with its annual revenue. And for those who believe in this, do let me know WHY they do? If I am making $60 a month with a single site, why should I judge its price with its annual turn around? What if the site increases it's current monthly earning from $60 to $100 in coming months??? In that case, it will be a total loss of $480. The worth can be judged by the POTENTIAL of a website, not by the earnings it is generating.. Regards,
45 site are bit much to handle but still if u manage them all somehow I think its a big money after 1-2 year. I think more then 1000 USD per month or maybe week.
You can likely obtain a good amount, at least $50 per site, because the new owner of the sites can scale up, with additional content and placement, using your templates as a foundation, use flippa.com and see what you can get mphorton2
$60 * 12 = 720 45 sites * $8 annual domain registration = $360 Let's charitably assume hosting is free. Gross profit before labour = $360/year. I assume it will take me about a day to actually transfer all those 45 sites, including domain transfers, copying files, configuring virtual hosts, etc. At $75/hr for my time (my average return for online adsense activities not including time wasted on DP!) that's $600. So even if you paid me $200 to take the sites off your hands I'm still in the red until the end of year 2, at which time I've netted a whopping $80. I would say hold on to them, or better yet, improve them. Someone would have to be pretty desperate to pay anything.
