How much do you think a website with adsense revenue only will worth. In terms of monthly earnings: 10 months income or more?
It all depends on source and quality of traffic. Adsense carries no weight in my opinion, it depends on site and the way you can monetize it best. Remember adsense is not always a best solution.
As everyone else mentioned, revenue isnt the only factor people take into consideration when purchasing a website. But if it were, they would also look at how much traffic it takes to generate that revenue, whether its steadily increasing or decreasing, if there is potential to increase the earnings, and so on. Some website only go for monthly rev * 6, others go for montly rev * 36. It really varies quite a bit.
It also depends. Some may let it go for 10 times monthly earnings while others may not let it go for 20 times monthly earnings.
Nice site, but with all these valuation sites, just what exactly is the formula used for the valuation? I had one site I ran through it, it said it was worth over 300 million dollars... The site generates very little in terms of revenue. Compare that to another site that I ran through that it said was worth 30 bucks, meanwhile that site is doing $150/week just in amazon referral fees alone. I don't know that I would trust these valuation sites for determining a sites worth. Raw log data, sales / revenue is about the only way to really determine the overall value over time.
I don't think it has something to do with AdSense. More important factors are the quality of the traffic, referrers, niche, trends, etc.
Thanks a lot for replies guys.. I am with adsense for 1,5 year and tried many other options, affiliates ext.. but adsense is the most reliable and effective one. I am trying to find out how much should i ask to sell an adsense website.
http://www.dnscoop.com/ has some reputation for valuation sites. If I would sale for example one of my sites that is worth 2500$ at dnscoop.com and it generates 200-250$ monthly adsense earnings, I would ask about 5000$.
