First of all, i'm new at digital point but i've browsed here alot and i want to compliement how helpful this forum is with lots of contributing members.

I have my layout designed, i have it coded into a webpage
now i need to integrate a shopping cart into it, zencart to be specific. I'm not looking to make it a full blown online store but rather a blog style with something for sale once in awhile.

so basically integrate a blog and more of a 'buy it now' button into it.

how much would a job like this cost me?

    thanks sincerely in advance

Would you consider the paypal shopping cart function? If yes, the cost to get this added into your site will be much lower! Or you can even do it yourself.. we're here to help :)

yea, paypal can definitely be an option, at least to start out with because with the expected transaction, there's really no way to get any discounted rates from other payment gateways i believe

True and the fees are quite high... if you have multiple transactions. Someone who bulds it will probably have a more accurate quote for you :)

Credit card fees aside, go to elance or one of the services and request a quote. It's suprisingly cheap. The quality however and the ability for you to turn communicate (and be happy with the results) is another story.

I'm seldom happy with the first version of anything and end up paying more to get it "just right".

Make sure you see sample work before committing and make sure you OWN everything - your servers, you own the code etc.

    thanks
i'll be sure to do that, what it typically the process in a job like this?
i send him the general template of the design that is already coded into a webpage and then the coder integrates that i want into the page? (ie shopping cart, blog)
how can i be sure that i own the code?
